How to Record IPTV Streams on Any Device

Want to record your favorite IPTV shows and watch them later? This guide covers the best methods to record live IPTV streams on Firestick, Android TV, PC, and other devices in 2026.

Recording with TiviMate

TiviMate Premium has a built-in recording feature. Simply navigate to the channel you want to record, press the Record button, and choose to record the current program or set a scheduled recording based on the EPG. Recordings are saved to your device storage or an external USB drive.

Recording on PC with VLC

On Windows or Mac, open your IPTV stream in VLC Media Player. Go to View, Advanced Controls to show the record button. Click the red record button to start recording and click again to stop. Files are saved to your Videos folder by default.

OBS Studio for Advanced Recording

For higher quality recordings with custom settings, use OBS Studio on your PC. Set up a Window Capture source pointing to your IPTV player, configure your output settings, and record in any format you prefer.

Important Notes

Make sure you have enough storage space for recordings. A one-hour HD recording typically uses 2-4 GB of space. For 4K recordings, expect 8-15 GB per hour. External USB drives or network storage are recommended for regular recording.
